The Orions Gemz and Jewelry E-Commerce Website is open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Our normal staff working hours are Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm CST (Staff off on Mondays). Although our staff may be off based on the hours of operation identified above, most, if not all, orders are pre-processed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Once we have received all the necessary customer requirements, billing, and shipping information required to process your order, here are some general order processing timeframes you may expect :

** CUSTOM ORDERS - Timeframes for completion will vary depending on the type / complexity of the custom work desired by the customer. We will provide each customer with a rough timeframe estimate for completion on all special orders.

** STANDARD CUSTOMER ORDERS - (whereby no custom shop work is required) - Please allow approximately 5-7 working days for Order Processing and Delivery. 95% of all of our "Standard and In-Stock Customer Orders" are processed and shipped within 2 Working Days. Please allow 2 additional workdays when ordering our Pre-Notched Pre-Notched Mountings / Castings.

To help keep our prices for our products and services as low as possible, we ask that you place a minimum order of $ 50.00. There will be a $ 10.00 surcharge for all orders of less than $ 50.00.

Once completed, your shipment will be sent to you (or the address specified by you) fully insured either UPS or United States Postal Service (USPS). Next Day Air, Second Day Air, 3 Day Select and AIRBORNE EXPRESS services are available for an additional charge (whatever our cost is). Contact us and we will be glad to quote shipping charges.

Below is a chart that shows what the shipping, handling, and insurance costs are. Orions Gemz and Jewelry can only ship merchandise to a United States Postal addresses.

Merchandise under $200.00 may be shipped to an address other than the billing address. Orders over $200.00 will only be shipped to the address where the bill/statement being used is sent.

Rates are based upon the total of your purchase before any sales tax and all orders are shipped insured.

RETURN / REFUND POLICY - EFFECTIVE 1 AUGUST 2005 / MODIFIED 12 DECEMBER 2007

As of 1 August 2005, all purchases with Orions Gemz and Jewelry are Final. ABSOLUTELY, AND WITHOUT EXCEPTION TO THIS POLICY, NO RETURNS AND/OR REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED WITHOUT THE EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT AND APPROVAL OF THE OWNER OF ORIONS GEMS AND JEWELRY.

Modified 12 December 2007 - If you wish to discuss an order return, do not call the Customer Service Line. Rather, send an Email Message directly to: OrionsGemz@aol.com explaining the issue or order return situation such that the owner may review the return request, then make a return decision.

We have had to institute this new policy due to a handful of unscrupulous customers who have taken total advantage of our products and services. Here are just a few examples of what these unscrupulous customers have done which has forced us to change our return / refund policy:

Those of you which have faithfully done business with Orions Gemz and Jewelry for years know and understand our reputation and commitment for quality products, pricing and service. Your business relationship and good standing accounts will not be interrupted by this recent change in policy.

We are sorry that we have had to institute this new policy which was caused by just a few unscrupulous customers however, as you might guess, it would be impossible to remain in business and provide all of our outstanding customers with the best possible products and services.

CUSTOM ORDERS AND TOOLS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE: The following orders placed from Orions Gemz and Jewelry are also non-returnable / non-refundable:

By placing and order with Orions Gemz and Jewelry you are also stipulating that you have read and understand the terms and conditions of our return / refund policy. Orions Gemz reserves the right to refuse any request for return / refund for any reason.

Please be sure of each order prior to placing your order request. We have overhead costs and time spent coordinating and processing each order to insure your total satisfaction. If you place an order with us here at Orions Gemz and Jewelry and then subsequently cancel the order prior to the actual shipment, you will be assessed a nominal fee of $ 10.00 to cover our costs associated with coordinating the processing of your order. A nominal order cancellation fee of $ 10.00, which is not refundable, will be billed directly to your account. At our sole discretion, an additional $ 10.00 restocking fee may also be applied to any order which is cancelled and/or returned to Orions Gemz and Jewelry for restock..

Your privacy is extremely important to Orions Gemz and Jewelry and we respect your concerns about maintaining complete privacy. We will keep all transactions confidential. Your name, address, and any other information provided to Orions Gemz and Jewelry WILL NOT BE PROVIDED TO ANYONE WITHOUT YOUR EXPRESS CONSENT.

We will not collect personally identifiable information on our web site or otherwise unless you choose to give it to us via an electronic mail message, a telephone call, or by postal mail. When you provide any information to us, we keep it strictly confidential. We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose web-site generated mailing lists or other personally identifiable information.

Ring, Earring, and/or Pendant Mountings offered by Orions Gemz and Jewelry are are sold less any gemstones, unless the customer specifically requests gemstones. Customer provided gemstones will be mounted by Orions Gemz and Jewelry only at the customer's request, and in the mounting or casting desired by the customer. We have a flat fee of $ 20.00 for the mounting of the customer provided Featured (Center Stone) Gemstone. Accent Gemstones can also be mounted by our shop however, the mounting fee will vary based on the accent stone quantity, size, and the type of mounting required. We can provide you with an estimate upon request.

It should be noted however that even with all the special care and diligence in the world given by an expert jeweler during any gemstone mounting process, periodically these wonderful gemstones provided to us by mother nature may be damaged. Nearly all gemstones have visible and invisible internal flaws and characteristics, contributing to the difficulty of mounting and sometimes damage to the gemstone. Orions Gemz and Jewelry will not warranty, repair, replace, nor refund the cost of any gemstone which has been damaged during the mounting process, nor do we state that the mounting process is without any risk. Orions Gemz and Jewelry, at our sole discretion, may opt to warranty, repair, replace or refund the cost of a gemstone damaged by the mounting process only at our discretion.

Product prices are directly tied to the gemstone and precious metals market price, and market fluctuations due to supply and demand. If a buyer has placed an order, and the product price has changed by more than 2% of the buyer's total order ($2.00 for each $100), the order will be held by the seller until the buyer is contacted and provided with the updated purchase price. Under no circumstances will we process an order for an item in which a price has changed greater than 2% from the original listed item price. This policy protects both the buyer and the seller from significant product price changes due market fluctuations. In many cases, Orions Gemz and Jewelry will sell the item to the buyer for the original purchase price listed.

Orions Gemz and Jewelry (seller) reserves the right to change any and all product prices without prior notice to the buyer.

Product availability is based on quantities available in stock. If we are out of the particular item in stock, we will gladly process you an immediate refund or offer you a similar item of equal or greater value. You will be immediately contacted if we are out of stock on a particular item.
